Joshua Sheppard, 19, of Iron Mountain, formerly of Florence, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain. He was born February 1, 1988, in Iron Mountain, son of James Sheppard of Fort Worth, Tex. and Jean Clark of Florence. He grew up in Florence and also attended school in Florence where he excelled in academics. Joshua enjoyed reading, video games, four wheelers, dirt bikes, helping people, cooking, and poetry. He love playing football and basketball. Most recently, he had an interest in joining the United States Air Force. He is survived by his parents; two grandmothers, Marie Malone, Florence, Dorothy Holmes, Jasper, Tex.; a special friend, Nadine Koss, Iron Mountain; one brother, Omar Sheppard, Houston, Tex.; four uncles, Barry Malone, Norway, Mich., David (Tina) Malone, Hermansville, Mich., Michael (Bernie) Malone, Powers, Mich., Bruce Malone, Milwaukee, Wis.; two aunts, Ann (Jim) Brolin, Florence, Kathy (Donald Dobbyn) Ries, Hermansville; special friends, Ron and Debbie Anderson, Florence, Shelby Terry, Kingsford, Mich., Debra Anderson, Iron Mountain, Bridgette Martina, Escanaba, Mich., Anthony Sheflbine, Pembine, Wis., The Hetzer Family, Crystal Falls, Mich.; and numerous other friends. Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2007, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will be Thursday, 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
