Josephine Lantagne
NIAGARA, Wis. — Josephine T. Lantagne, 87, of Niagara died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
Josephine was born Oct. 22, 1915, in Two Rivers, Wis., daughter of the late Sabastian and Katherine (Kraft) Mandak. She attended school in Two Rivers.
She married Ernest Lantagne on June 16, 1934, at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Two Rivers. They resided in Two Rivers for a short time before moving to Niagara. Ernest preceded her in death in 1992.
Josephine was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Niagara.
She is survived by five sons, Richard (Annette) Lantagne of Auburn, Wash., Eugene (Karen Scheffler) Lantagne of Niagara, Ernest Jr. (Judith) Lantagne of Niagara, Robert (Karen) Lantagne of Auburn, Wash., and Roger (Julie) Lantagne of Green Bay, Wis.; a sister, Rose Wotachek of Manitowoc, Wis., 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Josephine was also preceded in death two sons, Gerald and Lawrence Lantagne; three daughters, Anita Mae, Judith Ann and Mary Ellen Lantagne; three sisters, Magdalene Kakuk, Theresa Busch and Mary Kakuk, and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at the church. Fr. Michael Betly will officiate.
Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
The Jacobs Funeral Home of Niagara is serving the family.
