Josephine "Jo Ellen" Hohol, 72, of Niagara, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012, at her home.
She was born April 8, 1939, in Amberg, Wis., daughter of the late William and Ruth (Suzawith) Collins. Jo Ellen grew up in Amberg and graduated from Amberg High School, Class of 1957. She married Everett Hohol on May 7, 1960, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Amberg. They resided in Niagara.
Jo Ellen received her LPN in Oshkosh, Wis. She then worked for Winnebago State and County for a few years. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. Jo Ellen was well liked and had many close friends.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Everett; two sons, Chad (Kathy) Hohol, Barry (Maria Yakovchik) Hohol, both of Amberg; two grandchildren, David and Bill Hohol.

Along with her parents, Jo Ellen was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanley and Betty Sampson.
The visitation will be Tuesday, January 17, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the church. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara.
Pallbearers will be Barry Hohol, Chad Hohol, Bill Hohol, Randy Cheney, Steve Zigman, and George Kloppenburg.
