Josephine B. Dadam, 90, of Iron Mountain passed away Friday, December 27, 2013, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
She was born June 15, 1923, in Iron River, Mich., daughter of the late John and Mary (Scezny) Omillion.
Josephine married Frank Dadam on May 4, 1940, in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2000.
Josephine worked at the Saint Mary and Saint Joseph's Catholic school lunch program, cooked for Kresge's lunch counter and Elks Club, and catered many weddings. She volunteered at Dickinson Memorial Hospital, and was active in TOPS and Weight Watchers. Other activities included knitting, reading, dart ball, cribbage, and trips to casinos.
She is survived by one son, Frank (Kelly) Dadam, Green Bay, Wis.; two daughters, Jean (John) Holley, Crivitz, Wis., and JoAnne (Bob) Friberg, Florence, Wis.; son-in-law, James Bornfleth, Quinnesec, Mich.; grandchildren: Jon Alan, Judy, Jill (Mike) Holley Gauthier, and Justin Holley, Chris (Dan) Beauchamp, Scott (Lora) Dadam, Amy (Josh) Friberg-Wyckoff, Rhonda Friberg (Sean Senti), Heather (Matt) Robertson, and Kara (Ryan) Knox; and great-grandchildren: Ashley and Becky Beauchamp, Miranda and Lilly Holley, Lunden and Braden Friberg, Eli, Jairus, and Asher Dadam. She also leaves all her friends at Victorian Pines Estates.
In addition to her parents and husband Frank, Josephine was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandy (James) Bornfleth, several brothers, sisters, grandchildren, including her granddaughter Sheri Bornfleth and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 31, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
