Iron Mountain: Josephine M. Bergagnini age 94 of 1104 West Brown Street Iron Mountain went to be with the Lord Friday November 8, 2002 at her home. Josephine was born on November 23, 1907 in Iron Mountain daughter of the late Nicholas and Romina (Swietzer) Mendini. Josephine was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain. She married Louis Bergagnini on June 27, 1934. Louis preceded her in death in 1985. Josephine was an active member of St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She is survived by; Two sons Francis (Charlotte) Bergagnini of Texarkana, Arkansas, Michael (Judy) Bergagnini of Arkansas City, Kansas. One daughter Marilyn Bergagnini of Iron Mountain, MI., Five grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Granddaughter. Many Nieces and nephews and her puppy, Little Bit, her best friend and shadow. Josephine is preceded by; One daughter Barbara Anne in 1936. Three brothers Ernest, John, and Camillo Mendini. Three sisters Angeline O'Shea, Ann Decker, and Katherine Orella. Visitation will be Monday November 11, 2002 from 5-7PM at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Prayers will be recited Monday 6:30 PM at the Jacobs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:30AM at the Jacobs Funeral Home, and 10AM at St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church. Fr. Dan Zaloga will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park. The Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron Mountain is serving the family.
