Niagara:
Joseph Goudreau, age 87, of Niagara, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Dickinson County Healthcare System.
He was born November 27, 1917, in Niagara, Wisconsin, the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Normand) Goudreau. He attended Niagara schools and graduated from Niagara high school in 1936. While in school he played on the basket ball team which played in the State finals. He married Henrietta Sweig on September 3, 1938 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Niagara. She preceded him in death on November 3, 2003. He worked for Kimberly Clark as a pipe fitter and then a machinist for over forty years, retiring in 1979. Joseph was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Niagara. He was an avid basketball and Packers fan and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, trapping and the outdoors.
Survivors include two sons Larry (Lori) Goudreau and Michael (Jeanne) "Sis" Goudreau both of New London, Wisconsin, three daughters Sharon (Myron) Wilson of Niagara, Bonnie (Paul) Cieslak of Vulcan, MI, and Pamela (Ronald) Neuens of Niagara. Also surviving are two brothers Arnold (Doris) Goudreau of Florida and David (Caroline) Goudreau of Goodman, two sisters Marcellline (Jack) Barney of Ohio and Audrey (Glenn) Graham of Arizona and Pennsylvania, sixteen grandchildren, Gregory Wilson, Jeff(Debra) Wilson, Kevin (Nicole) Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Mary (Joe) Papp, Brian ( Sharri) Pellegrini, Brad ( Michelle) Pellegrini, Marc (Vickie) Pellegrini, Becky Daverveld, Jason Goudreau, Jessica Goudreau, Jodi Goudreau, Amy(Allen) Ermi, Laura Lee (Martin) Campos, Joetta (Jeff) Mosher, Jacob (Julie) Neuens, twenty-four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and his wife Henrietta, Joseph is preceded by five brothers Norman, Roland, Arthur, Wilfred, Alvin, and one infant sister Elenora Goudreau.
Visitation will be Friday, March 4, 2005, from 9:30-10:00 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Niagara. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church. Father Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
