Obituary

Joseph C. Bugalski, Jr., 93, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain. He was born February 3, 1915, in Pittsburgh, Penn., son of the late Joseph and Stephanie Bugalski, Sr. Joseph married the former Olga Szumeda on May 12, 1943, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Wausaukee, Wis. Shortly after being married, they moved to Pembine, Wis. where they resided until 1945, at which time they moved to Niagara. Joseph, along with Olga, operated a farm in Niagara until 1955. In 1955, Joseph went to work for Niagara Public School as both a custodian and bus driver. He retired from the school in 1977. Joseph was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and especially spending time outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Olga; one daughter, Lillian Olson, Niagara; two brothers, Leo (Helen) Bugalski, Racine, Wis., Teddy (Carol) Bugalski, Waukesha, Wis.; one sister, Carolyn; four grandchildren, Don (Heidi) Olson, Niagara, Dan (Peggy) Olson, Knoxville, Tenn., Mike Olson, Colo., Mary (Hank) Ford, Canon City, Colo.; many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
