Jon Willman, affectionately known as "Uncle Jon" by family and friends, age 51, of Crystal Falls, died Wednesday evening, September 27, 2006, at his home.
He was born July 13, 1955, in Crystal Falls, son of Muriel (Waldon) Willman and the late Gordon Willman. On October 19, 1974, in Wurzburg, Germany, he married Karen Robarge. She survives.
Jon had been employed by Crystal Kitchens (Crystal Lumber) and Magiglide. He also was a section crew worker for the E & L'S Railroad for many years. He enjoyed softball, football, time at camp with family and friends and was an avid snowmobiler, year-round.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Willman, Crystal Falls; mother, Muriel Willman, Crystal Falls; three sons, Tim Willman, Houghton, Chris Willman and Mike Willman; one daughter, Jennifer (Josh) Ketola, all of Crystal Falls; three brothers, Brian Willman, Gary (Brenda) Willman, Rob (Lori) Willman, all of Crystal Falls; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2006, at United Lutheran Church, Crystal Falls. Rev. Michael Laakko will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
