John "Jack" White, 93, Nashotah, Wis., long-time resident of Spread Eagle, Wis., died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at AngelsGrace Hospice, Oconomowoc. He, lovingly known to family and friends as "Jack", was born June 19, 1914, in Berwyn, Illinois, son of the late Raymond and Ruth (Bennett) White. John was a graduate of Michigan State University, and in 1960, he founded Jack White Ford, Inc. which was the largest Ford dealership in Wisconsin for many years. He was awarded Time magazine's "Quality Dealer of the Year" award and was a member of the Ford Motor Company Dealer Council. John has owned a residence in Spread Eagle, in Florence County, since 1951. He will be remembered for his generosity and kindness, his wonderful sense of humor, his love for family and friends. John is survived by three sons, John (Paula) White, Oconomowoc, Richard (Lorraine) White, Jackson, La., Tom (Mary Jo) White, Milwaukee, Wis.; two daughters, Mary Steele, Jean White, both of Aiken, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy J.
