Obituary

Iron Mountain: John L. Sherman, age 89, of Iron Mountain, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2005, at the Florence Villa Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Florence. He was born May 19, 1915, in Niagara, Wisconsin, the son of the late Adam and Apolonia (Novak) Sherman. He graduated from Niagara High School. He joined the Navy during World War II. He married Anna Desjardin on November 12, 1977, and she preceded him in death on July 27, 2003. He worked for Kimberly Clark Corporation as a Stack Feeder for over thirty years until his retirement. He loved his flowers and also enjoyed taking the Van to Econo Foods. Survivors include three daughters Dawn (Michael) Murphy of Green Bay, Patricia A. (Richard) Constantini of Iron Mountain and Jeanne Gardipee of Norway, two brothers Raymond of Arkansas, Frank of Niagara, and Lawrence, two sisters Agatha and Estelle (Elmer) Enders and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife Anna, he was preceded in death by one daughter Kathryn Bal in 1988, three brothers Felix, Joseph, and Daniel, and one sister Veronica. Visitation will be Monday, February 28, 2005, from 10-11a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 11a.m. at the Funeral Home with Msgr. James Kaczmarek officiating.
