Marquette- John G. Rosa, 62, of Marquette, Mich., passed away Monday, June 6, 2022, at his home.

He was born December 30, 1959, in Crystal Falls, Mich., son of the late Lawrence and Helen (Vross) Rosa. John grew up in Crystal Falls and graduated from Forest Park High School, class of 1978. He attended Northern Michigan University, where he received his bachelor's degree. John's passion was cooking, and he was the executive chef for both the Landmark Inn and Holiday Inn, Marquette, Mich., for years. He was recently employed by Millcreek Assisted Living, Marquette, as their cook. John was a very social person and enjoyed attending the Marquette Symphony. He will be missed by his family and numerous friends.

Survivors include one brother, Mike Rosa, Richfield, Minn.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Rosa.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls, Mich. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Deacon Don Christy will officiate. Burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls, Mich.
