John "Bunny" Marchi, age 94, of Crystal Falls, Mich., and formerly of Chicago, Ill., passed away Thursday, June 22, 2006, at the Iron County Community Hospital, Iron River, Mich. He was born February 4, 1912, in Blaney, Mich., son of the late Lewis and Maria (Stockero) Marchi. He married the former Katherine Lesniak. She survives. In his younger years John, "Bunny", was an avid trapper prior to his many years with Sciaky Brothers where he was a sheet metal design worker. Survivors include his wife Katherine Marchi, Crystal Falls; one son, Ronald (Peggy) Marchi, Orlando, Fla.; one daughter, Justine (Martin) Bonato, Orland Park, Ill.; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; one sister, Angeline Lusyk, Chicago; and one brother, Tilo Marchi, Crystal Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Joe, Hank, Angelo, Gilbert, Olento, and one sister, Dorothy Marchi. Visitation will be Sunday, June 25, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. The funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 26, 2006, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls. The Rev. Dino Silvestrini will officiate.
