John William Mann, 67, of Kingsford, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014, at his home.
He was born July 18, 1946, in Inkster, Mich., son of the late John and Nellie Mann. John grew up in Inkster and graduated from high school there. He served our country in the U.S. Army. John went on to attend Western Michigan University where he received his Bachelor Degree.
John married Heidi Bleuer on September 20, 2008, at Lake of the Clouds, Ontonagon, Mich. After being married they resided in Kingsford. He worked as a stock broker, Mobile Oil, Clark Oil and later for AT&T. John was a member of the Menominee Moose Lodge, he enjoyed taking pictures especially of eagles and waterfalls. He liked fishing but most of all spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi; two sons, Christopher Mann, Canton, Mich. and Edward Rusch, Kingsford; three daughters, Kay (Dave) Thomas, Port Huron, Mich., Jeanett Jedrzejewski, Kingsford and Melodie Rusch, Kingsford and five grandchildren, Madison, Niklas, Payton, Brendan and Liam.
Visitation will be Monday, February 17, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
