CRYSTAL FALLS, Mich. – John "Denmark" Lauridsen, 77, of Crystal Falls, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. He was born February 4, 1939, in Copenhagen, Denmark, son of the late Otso and Patricia (Kamma) Lauridsen. John grew up in Copenhagen. He worked in the mining industry for over ten years before going to work for Celotex, where he worked for 20 years before retiring. He enjoyed celebrating life with his family and friends. John is survived by three sons, Shawn (Lindsey) Lauridsen, Amasa, Mich.; John Lauridsen, Texas and Donald Lauridsen, Kingsford; one daughter, Lisa (Don) Mitchell, West Allis, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Claire, Dempsey, Shawn, Jack, Joe, Kathryn and Ryan. In accordance with John's wishes private family services will be held. Burial will be held in Aura Cemetery, L'Anse, Mich. in the spring. The family has chosen the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls to honor John's Legacy of Life.
