Crystal Falls: John "Bobby" Johnson age 69, of Crystal Falls, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2006 at the Veterans Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Bobby was born in Crystal Falls, Michigan on November 17, 1937 son of the late Edwin and Signie (Anderson) Johnson. Bobby was raised and attended school in Crystal Falls. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1955 until 1957. After being honorable discharged, Bobby moved back to Crystal Falls and worked in the local mines, as well as in the woods. He is survived by, one brother, Calvin (Betty) Johnson of Crystal, Falls, Mich. two sisters, Mary (Walter) Markham of Iron Mountain and Molly (Lawrence) Jeffers of Iron River, Michigan, and his longtime companion, Betty Lou McArthur of Crystal Falls, Mich. Private family services were held at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home in Crystal Falls. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls in the spring.
