He left this world on a day much like himself, full of sunshine and love. John Alan Grenier, age 46, died at his home in St. Louis, Mo., on October 10, 2011.
He was born on September 10,1965, in Norway, Mich., son of Richard and Barbara (Trepanier) Grenier.
John attended Norway Elementary Schools and graduated from Norway High School in 1983. He has lived and worked as a concrete specialist for the past 14 years in St. Louis.
He was an avid Packer fan, often hosting a gathering at his home every time a Packer game could be seen in the St. Louis area. A faithful follower of the Chicago Cubs and NASCAR fan, John attended as many games and races as he could. He loved to hunt and fish as well.
John is survived by a son, Anthony (Nicolette) Grenier and their son Aristen John; and two daughters, Hailey and Taylor Grenier; his parents, Richard and Barbara; three brothers, Mark (Cathy) Grenier, Steven (Melissa) Grenier, and Paul (Renee) Grenier; his nephews and nieces, Eryk (Cassandra), Kymberly (Ryan), Rhiannon, Brian, Cole and Brock along with two great-nephews, Blake and Owen Grenier. Along with the family was an "adopted brother", Tom Moore, who lived with the Greniers for over a year and became part of the family.
He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Richard (Virginia) Grenier and Edward (Lorraine) Trepanier.
John's family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to his friends for the warm Missouri welcome and wonderful memories they shared of him.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011. A Memorial Mass will follow with Father Timothy M. Ekaitis officiating. Burial will be in the Norway Township Cemetery, Norway.
