John J. Carlotto, age 90, of Crystal Falls died Saturday, September 30, 2006, at the Iron County Community Hospital, Iron River. He was born May 24, 1916, in Crystal Falls, son of the late Dominic and Angeline (Ferrero) Carlotto. John worked for the United States Postal Service for many years. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include one sister, Mary Carlotto Paulsen, Crystal Falls, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Albert, Bruno, Joseph and Anthony Carlotto; and one sister, Catherine "Cutta" Carlotto. Visitation will be 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls. Rev. Raymond Zeugner will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls with military rites being accorded by the East Side Veterans Council. The Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls is serving the family.
