The family of Joanne (Custer) Wrona Mattson McGeshick sadly announces her passing on January 30, 2013, following a courageous battle with cancer. Joanne was an employee of the Lac Vieux Desert Casino. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and entire family and friends. She will be deeply missed. Left to cherish Joanne's memory are her husband, Dale McGeshick; mother, Alice Custer; brother, Dennis (Charlotte Thomas) Custer; six daughters, Angela (Dave) Wrona, Erinn (Stephen) Sheldon, Melissa (Robbin) Wrona, Nicole (Greg) Mattson, Kelly (James) Mattson, Stephanie (Craig) Middleton; step-daughters, Danae McGeshick and Dawsyn McGeshick. She also leaves 15 grandchildren and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. The visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Lac Vieux Desert Spiritual Center, Watersmeet, Mich. The funeral service will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, at the Spiritual Center.
