Joanne Krueger (Smith-Mulcahy), 68, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Friday, September 17, 2010, in Iron River, Mich. She was born on October 30, 1941, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Donald and Clotilde (Pesek) Smith. Joanne resided in Illinois until later retiring to Crystal Falls. She graduated from Trinity High School in River Forest, Ill. Joanne was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church and the Women's Guild. She is survived by her husband, Jim Krueger; four children, Deb (Brad) Popp, Cindy (Dean) Tesar, Susan (Tom) Stein, and Dennis Mulcahy; one step-son, Andrew Krueger; eleven grandchildren, Jennifer, Ryan, Eric, Craig, Cayley, Madelyn, Colleen, Chloe, Sarah, Rachel, and Naomi; loving sisters, Mariora, Carolyn and Margie. She was a favorite Auntie to all of her nieces and nephews. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Clotilde Smith and her husband, Dennis Mulcahy. Visitation will be Friday, September 24, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. Prayers will be recited Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls. Rev. Jeffrey Kurtz will officiate.
