Obituary

Jeffrey "Jeff" A. Rudolf, 67, of Florence, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich. He was born June 24, 1945, in Milwaukee, son of the late Robert J. and Margaret E. (Roney) Rudolf. Jeff worked as a Forge-Shop Department Head at Ladish Co., in Cudahy, Wis., until his first retirement in 1999. He continued to work at Ladish consulting on and off for a couple years before retiring for good and moving to Florence where he had often vacationed. Throughout Jeff's years, he enjoyed gardening and growing many different vegetables, canning tomatoes, sauerkraut and pickling pickles. He also enjoyed fishing and smoking and canning salmon. For many years Jeff was the celebrated cook at Hunting Camp and his recipe for the Thanksgiving venison was well known. He was loved by many. All who knew him loved him. He enjoyed time with his friends and always had a story ready to share. He is survived by one sister, Judith M. (Milton) Hoyt, Milwaukee; two brothers, Robert J. (Jan) Rudolf, Jr., Omaha, Nebr., David (Monica) Rudolf, Southport, N.C., and was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. A memorial service and celebration of Jeff's life will be announced at a later date.
