Jeanette Louise (Dora) Woods, 85, of Alpha, Michigan, won the six-year-long battle against dementia and returned to her Savior on Sunday, October 5, 2025. She was born July 22, 1940, in Alpha, Mich., daughter of the late Charles and Stella (Ropiak) Dora. She grew up in Alpha and graduated from Alpha High School.

Jeanette retired from the 'Frontier School of Midwifery' in Kentucky and returned home to Alpha upon retiring. She is remembered for playing her accordion at a young age, whistling to her favorite music, and for the passion and love of her five cats. She will be forever remembered and forever missed.

She is survived by two loving nephews, Chuck Haberle and Dean Haberle.

In addition to her parents, Jeannette was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Dora Jr., and her sister, Irene Dora.

A graveside service for Jeanette will take place in the spring at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls, Mich.
