Pembine-Jeanette M. Newling, age 93, of Pembine, Wis., passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at her home. She was born January 10, 1924, in Wyandotte, Mich., daughter of the late Ralph and Inez (LaFeve) Johnson. Jan grew up in Wyandotte and graduated from Roosevelt High School, Wyandotte. She married Roy J. Newling Sr. on October 11, 1952, in Indiana. They resided in Wyandotte for a short time before moving to South Gate, Mich. Jan worked as a head teller at the Wyandotte Savings Bank for many years until she retired. She along with her husband started to spend time in Pembine in 1986 and in 1991 moved there full time. Jan enjoyed playing baseball at a younger age, hunting, fishing, sewing, needlepoint, and the outdoors. Survivors include her son, Roy J. (Rebekah) Newling Jr., Pembine, one grandson, Roy J. (Raquel Hernandez) Newling III, Pembine, and one great-granddaughter, Trinity. Private family graveside services will be held at Pembine Cemetery, Pembine, Wis.
