Obituary

Jeanette Moreau, 78, of Iron Mountain, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay, Wis. She was born April 5, 1930, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Carlo and Dina (Brosio) Capra. Jeanette grew up in Iron Mountain and graduated from Iron Mountain High School. She married Douglas Moreau on September 17, 1949 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Iron Mountain. Jeanette was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Paisano Club, and was an original member of the Amidon Follies. She enjoyed coordinating many bus trips over the years to the casino. Jeanette also enjoyed bingo, knitting, sewing, playing cards, and especially spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Douglas; three sons, Mike (Diane) Moreau, Hilbert, Wis., Steve (Char) Moreau, Ontonagon, Mich., Rich, (Kim) Moreau, Powers, Mich.; two brothers, Larry Capra, Bob (Elaine) Capra, both of Iron Mountain; four sisters, Irene ("Fonzie") Secinaro, Marcelle (Bob) Weaver, both of Iron Mountain, Kathleen (Bob) Bosilovatz, Escanaba, Mich., Carol (Bob) Brodie, Marquette, Mich.; six grandchildren, Wes (Missy), Kylie, Matt, Ryan, Carly, Jacob; four great-grandchildren, Marcus, Warren, Taylor, Cal; many nieces and nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by one brother, Phil Capra. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Jeanette's name. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 10, 2009, 9:30 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Iron Mountain. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. The family will receive friends for a luncheon in the Msgr. James Kaczmarek Parish Hall immediately following the memorial service.
