Florence, Wisc. – Jeanette R. "Jean" Manley, 83, of Florence, Wisc., passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson, Iron Mountain, Mich.

Jean was born on May 16, 1940, in Chicago, IL., to the late Henry Lipkeman and Barbara (Walker) Tarqueno. After her father Henry's death at a young age, Jean was raised by her mother and step-father, Joseph Tarqueno.

She grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from Blue Island Community School, Blue Island, IL., class of 1956. After graduation, she became a registered nurse through a program offered by South Chicago Community Hospital in 1960.

She married Gerald Manley on June 24, 1961, in Chicago Ridge, IL. They were married 58 years until his death on September 20, 2019.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Manley, Daniel (Sandra) Manley, and William (Kimberly) Manley; daughter, Pamela Cannon (Raf Alam); grandson, Ty Alam; brothers, Joseph Tarqueno, Charles (Gail) Tarqueno, and Robert Tarqueno; and sisters, Carolyn Fabing and Barbara (Dan) Henley.
