Obituary

Jean A. Koller, 97, of Iron Mountain, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain. She was born in August 1, 1910, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Antonio and Angelina (Attocchi) DeMurri. Jean was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain and attended school in Iron Mountain. She married John "Jack" Koller in 1931. He preceded her in death in 1986. Jean worked at a sewing factory where she made Navy pea coats for the service men and women during and after WWII. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Iron Mountain. She is survived by a son, John (Marilyn) Koller, Scarborough, Maine; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Guido DeMurri; three sisters, Doris (Jay) Constantini, Adeline DeJuliani, both of Iron Mountain, Antonette Kovachic, Marquette, Mich.; many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, John, and parents, Jean was preceded in death by one son, Ronald; one grandson, Ronald "Rocky" Koller; two brothers, Gildo, Geno; and two sisters, Marie Stockero, Rena Anderson. Visitation will be Friday, November 30, 2007, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Prayers will be offered Friday 12:30 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 1:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
