Jean Jossens IRON MOUNTAIN: Jean Helen Jossens, 81, of 720 East H St., Iron Mountain, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. She was born Jan. 24, 1922, in Ishpeming, daughter of John F. and Ella (Nelson) McNeil. She moved to Kingsford as a young girl and was a 1939 graduate of Kingsford High School. She married Walton P. Jossens on Oct. 23, 1941, in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1967. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, John N. McNeil and Wallace McNeil. Jean worked for several years as bookkeeper at Pine Mountain Dairy and for many years as clerk at the SS Kresge Store. She was an avid reader and loved nature, especially birds and flowers. She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Warner) Yaggie and Val (Tom) Chicora, both of Mooresville, N.C.; a son, Thomas of Iron Mountain; three grandchildren, Joel (Tammy) Yaggie of Brighton, lower Michigan, Christopher (Angie) Dooley of South Beloit, Ill. and Kristin (Paul) Masselink of Norway; two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Alyssa Yaggie; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 p.m to 7 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Pastor David Wallis will officiate. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery.
