Florence-Jared D. Thomas, age 30, of Florence, Wis., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 18, 2019. He was born July 13, 1989, in Green Bay, Wis., son of Jack and Diane (Waskowiak) Thomas. Jared grew up in Florence and attended Florence High School. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed hunting and being a dad. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his parents, Jack (Cathy) Thomas, Florence, Wis., and Diane (Chris Maki) Thomas Crystal Falls, Mich.; two sons, Cash and J.T. Thomas; one sister, Cory (Matt) Fuller, Manitowoc, Wis.; two brothers, Jack (Sammie) Thomas, Florence, Wis., and Christopher Maki, Crystal Falls, Mich.; grandmother, Jean McGregor, Townsend, Wis.; one niece, Olivia (Jacob) Lukaszewski; three nephews, Weston and Jaxsun Fuller and Axull Thomas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jared was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Dee Thomas, Richard W. Waskowiak and Marvin McGregor. A celebration of Jared's life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Lake Emily in Florence County.
