Iron Mountain: Janice M. Leeman, 78, of W9112 Turner Road, Channing, Michigan, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at River Hills Nursing Home in Delafield, Wisconsin. Janice was born March 8, 1925, in Channing, Michigan, daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Nowack Carey. On June 26, 1948, she married Gerald Leeman who preceded her in death in 1995. She was employed by the U.S. Post Office in Channing. She was an active community minded person who taught knitting, and wedding and birthday cake decorating. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Janice is survived by three daughters Carol (James)Gonzales of Delafield, Wisconsin, Nancy (Mike) Lefler of Petaluma, California, and Mary (Lloyd) Sylvester of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, one son R. Gerald Leeman of Raleigh, North Carolina, three sisters-in-law Joy Carey, Lucile Carey,and Verna Leeman, one brother-in-law Jack Ruth) Leeman, and seven grandchildren Beth, Amanda, Trevor, Cory, Zac, Holly, and Tony. Along with her parents and husband Gerald, she was preceded in death by two brothers Charles (Joy) Carey and Lawrence (Lucile) Carey. Visitation will be Saturday, April 19, 2003, from 12 to 2 P.M. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A Memorial Service will be at 2P.M. with Rev. Michael March officiating.
