Channing: Janet L. Harshman, age 64, of Channing, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2004, at Dickinson County Hospital. She was born November 23, 1939, in Racine, Wisconsin, the daughter of Donald and Carrie (Cichanofsky) Donaldson. She moved to Granite Bluff at a young age and attended school in Merriman. On July 2, 1957, she married Roy Harshman in Stillwater, Minnesota. They lived in Racine, WI until 1981, when they moved to Iron Mountain, and later to Channing. She enjoyed crafts and ceramics and loved gardening, fishing and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her mother Carrie Donaldson of Granite Bluff, her husband Roy, one daughter Dawn (Jeff) Myers of Channing, three brothers Gene (Lorraine Anderson) Donaldson, of Sagola, Donald (Debbie) Donaldson of Channing, and Daniel (Gail) Donaldson of Florence, two sisters Sharon Olson of Alaska and Cynthia(Norman) Rouse of Channing, two grandchildren Amy (Ted) Myers of Wausaukee and Melissa (Dave) Sexton of Gwinn, six great grandchildren Nathan, Jeffrey, Desire, Dylan, Brianna, and Derik, and several nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her father Donald Donaldson in 1994 and a brother James Donaldson October 31, 2004. Visitation will be Friday, November 12, 2004, at 11:30 - 1:00p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home. Pastor Paul Mietner will be officiating. Pallbearers will be her brothers Donald and Daniel Donaldson, and nephews Butch Rouse, Jamie, Gene Jr, Alan, and Rich Donaldson.
