Niagara-Janet A. Davis (Freeman), 92, of Niagara, Wis., passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Florence Health Services, Florence, Wis. She was born August 25, 1925, in Iron Mountain, Mich., daughter of the late Dewey and Irene (Peters) Freeman. Janet grew up and attended school in Niagara. On February 12, 1945, she married Alfred Davis. They resided in Green Bay for 2 years before moving to Niagara in 1947. Alfred preceded her in death in 1980. Janet was a past member of the VFW Auxiliary. Beloved mother of, Sandra (the late Jack) (Chuck Connis) Raymond, Kingsford, Mich., and Irene (Brian) LaBucki, Big Bend, Wis.; one sister, Gladys Van Den Herivel and one brother, Bruce Freeman, both of Niagara, Wis.; one sister-in-law, Jeri Morrow, Niagara, Wis.; one daughter-in-law, Rita Davis; one son- in-law, Dennis Dixon; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and numerous niece's nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Alfred, Janet was preceded in death by one son, John "Demon" Davis 1986; two daughters, Nancy Dawson and Brenda Dixon; one grandson, Taylor Dixon; four brothers, George "Sonny" Freeman, John "Rufus" Freeman, Edwin "Putty" Freeman and Clarence "Dennis" Freeman; and by four sisters, Mabel Chartier, Carmen Harwath, Alice Hayes and Anna Mae Larsch. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel, Niagara, Wis. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. James Danielson will officiate. Burial will be in Aurora-Homestead Cemetery, Aurora, Wis.
