Iron Mountain- Janet L. Conners, 80, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born November 4, 1945, in Topinabee, Mich., daughter of the late Leonard and Avis (Swan) Morgan. Janet was one of nineteen children. She grew up and attended school in Topinabee.

On December 31, 1962, she married Donald Conners. They resided in Topinabee, Mich., before moving to Traverse City, Mich., and eventually to Iron Mountain, Mich. Donald preceded her in death on September 26, 2025.

Janet worked briefly as a physician's assistant in Traverse City and also in Real Estate.

Janet was a member of the Crystal Falls Lions Club and the Finn Club. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, and traveling. Janet especially enjoyed the time spent with her family.

Survivors include three sons, Mike, Randall, and Paul Conners; one daughter, Annette Blahnik; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, eight sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Don, Janet was preceded in death by one daughter, Julia Conners, four brothers, and 2 sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held downstate in the summer.
