James M. Washbish, known as "Big Foot" to many, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011, at the age of 67, at his home in Niagara.
He was born April 26, 1944, in Milwaukee, Wis., son of the late William and Leona (Bronson) Washbish. At a young age, Jim resided in Hustler, Wis., where he was raised on a farm. Jim moved to the area in 1972.
Jim worked for Grede Foundry as a big wheel grinder for twenty-two years, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, playing the lottery, and growing tomato plants and was an avid Packers fan, attending his first Packers game this year.
He is survived by one son, Michael (Melanie) Washbish, Iron Mountain; two daughters, April Nickel, New Jersey, Toni (Todd) Garvaglia, Niagara; two brothers, one sister, and many grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 15, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. James Danielson will officiate.
