Crystal Falls- James "Jimmer" Reinke, age 77, of Crystal Falls, Mich., was carried home to Heaven in the arms of Jesus on September 26, 2021, at Florence Health Services, Florence, Wis. Jimmer was born in Bonduel, Wis., on July 3, 1944. He was 1 of 14 children born to Harold and Sophie (Schmitt) Reinke. The family moved to Crystal Falls, where Jimmer graduated from High School. He went on to become a self-taught Automotive and Truck Mechanic, later receiving his State of Michigan Motor Vehicle Mechanic Certificate - "Master Auto & Heavy-Duty Truck Maintenance." He was known for his great attention to detail. (If it was fixable…Jimmer could fix it!) He married the late Donna Marinoff, and together they have one daughter, Mary. They later divorced, and after several years, he married Florence "Babes" Setagord on July 10, 1993. She preceded him in death on January 17, 2019. Jimmer was a heavy machinery mechanic all of his adult life. He worked for Malkin & Sons of Crystal Falls in his younger years and for Hebert Construction later. Jimmer enjoyed family time, riding his Harley motorcycles, adding Snap-On tools to his already large collection and tinkering in his garage after work. Jimmer was a loving Husband, Father, Step-Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle, and Brother. His passing leaves an empty chair at the table that will never be filled. Jimmer was greeted in Heaven by many who went before him, including mother, Sophie, father, Harold, wife, Florence, and sisters Donna, Doris, and Susan. Waiting here on earth for their heavenly reunion with him is his only daughter Mary (Mark) Heinz, Howards Grove, Wis.; step-children, Vicky (Al) Joyak, Sherry (Joe) Martin, and Raymond Hoffman; beloved grandchildren: Jordyn (Christopher) Haneman, Ashley Heinz, Heather (Andy) Cronkright; great-grandchildren: Chase & Aiden Cronkright; seven brothers, Dale, Chuck, Red (Sharron), John, Tom (Barbara), Ted (Brenda) and Harold Jr. (Yogi); three remaining sisters, Nancy, Sally, and Diane; and by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Jimmer's Family would like to thank all caretakers at Florence Health Services for the care and love they have shown to him over the past 1 ½ years. Also, the Dickinson County Dialysis Center for their care and compassion. Visitation will be Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls, Mich. a memorial service will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
