James L. Reid, 47, Crystal Falls, passed away Monday, December 1, 2008, at his home. He was born May 8, 1961, in Crystal Falls, son of Muriel (LaPlante) and the late Lloyd Reid. On October 10, 1981, he married Laura Groop in Crystal Falls. Jim worked in electrical sales and was most recently associated with Werner Electric Supply Company and formerly with Systems Controls and Harvey Wholesales. He enjoyed the outdoors and following Trojans football. He enjoyed baseball, fishing, bird hunting and was an avid bowler. He was a graduate of Forest Park High School, class of 1979. Survivors include his wife, Laura Reid, one son, Robert Reid; and his mother, Muriel Fite, all of Crystal Falls. He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Reid in 1978, his step-father Calvin Fite in 2002; and one sister, Sally Reid at age seven.
