Obituary

Niagara: James E. Marcouiller, 75, of Niagara, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at his home. He was born July 31, 1930, in Niagara, the son of Henry and Josephine (Bromberk) Marcouiller. On August 10, 1957, in Niagara, he married Dorothy Yagodzinski. She survives. James was a lifelong resident of Niagara, graduating from Niagara High School in 1948. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at his family's' grocery store "Marcouillers" since he was 12 years old. They owned and operated Marcouillers Grocery for 60 years. James was a member of the VFW of Niagara, Cretton-Tutas American Legion Post 136 of Niagara, Knights of Columbus, and St. Anthony Catholic Church. James enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandchildren and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Dorothy, one son Mark (Kristie) Marcouiller , Niagara; five daughters, Brenda (Scott) Pancheri, Iron Mountain, Renee (Darrell) Nix, Texas, Robin (John) Trulock, Niagara, Tracy (Chris) Sigmon, Niagara, Tina Marcouiller, Niagara; a special mother-in-law Kay Yagodzinski; one brother Robert (Grace) Marcouiller, Kingsford; one sister Jeanette Simonis, Beaver Dam, Wis.; 12 grandchildren Brendan, Brittany, Amanda, Markie, Eddie, Matthew, Cory, Mariah, Tanya, Shante, J.J., and Kayla; one great granddaughter Jordan; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents James was preceded in death by a brother Clarence Marcouiller; a sister Marion Kalina; and a son-in-law Donald Anderson; his brother-in-law Al; sister-in-law Helen, and special brother-in-law Bob Simonis. Visitation will be Friday, February 10, 2006, from 4 – 8 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home Niagara Chapel. The American Legion will have a Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. Prayer services will be Saturday, February 11, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara. Father Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery. A Memorial will be established in his memory.
