Obituary

James Albert Van Kirk, 90, of Pembine, Wis., passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Maryhill Manor, Niagara. He was born April 24, 1922, in Amberg, son of the late Joseph and Clara (Swigart) Van Kirk. James was the fifth child of eight. He was a resident at Maryhill Manor for the past 3 ½ years. James served his country in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945 as a radio operator in the Fiji Islands, New Guinea, and the Philippines. He was on his way to Japan when the war ended. He is survived by his youngest sister, Marian Eichinger, Pembine; and many nieces and nephews. Private family services are being held. Burial will be in Pembine Cemetery, Pembine.
