Crystal Falls- James S. Erickson Jr., 72, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Florence Health Services, Florence, Wis. He was born November 14, 1947, in Crosby, Minn., son of the late James S. and Joyce A. (Norlin) Erickson. James was a graduate of Crystal Falls High School, class of 1965. After graduation he proudly served in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge. James then worked for the United States Post Office for 29 years before retiring. He enjoyed bowling, reading nonfiction, playing video games, and spending time with his cats. James was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and Milwaukee Brewer Fan. Survivors include two brothers, Alan (Monica) Erickson, Kingsford, Mich., and Gary (June) Erickson, Crystal Falls, Mich.; one sister, Pat (George) Schmidt, Iron River, Mich.; five nieces and nephews, Micah, Elyse, Blair, Billie Jo, and Jason; four great-nieces and nephews; special friends, Linda and Betty; and by his two cats, Jake and Ellwood. In accordance with the CDC guidelines and the State of Michigan, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Crystal Falls, Mich.
