Jacquelyn G. Kenney, 77, of Cicero, Ill., formerly of Amasa passed away Monday, February 10, 2014, at Burgess Square Nursing Facility, Westmont, Ill., following a courageous battle with leukemia
She was born, November 12, 1936, in Amasa, daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel (Sjogren) Gorman. Jacquelyn was born and raised in Amasa, Mich., and graduated from Amasa High School. She married Jerry Kenney, also of Amasa, and they moved to Cicero where they were lifetime residents. Jerry preceded her in death in 2005.
Jacquelyn is survived by daughter one daughter, Cindy (Terry) Carr, Willow Springs, Ill.; three grandsons, Allan (Sarah), Terry Matt, Jeremy (Jennifer);two great-grandchildren TJ and Alexandra; one brother-in-law, Emil Kenney; three sister-in-laws Sue Kenney, Shirley Kenney and Anita Stockham, and many nieces, nephews, great niecesand great nephews.
A Memorial Service will be announced in the spring at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. Burial will be in Hematite Township Cemetery, Amasa in the spring.
