Florence – Jack L. Wood, 85, of Florence, Wisc., passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson, Iron Mountain, Mich.

Jack was born on August 19, 1938, in Stillwater, Okla., to the late Woodrow and Imagean (Delano) Wood.

He graduated from East Aurora High School, Aurora, Ill., class of 1957. Jack worked as a meat cutter for Jewel Food Stores for forty-seven years. He married the love of his life, Karen Senf on November 23, 1956, in Chicago, Ill.

He coached Little League Baseball in Montgomery, Ill. He volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America where his sons were members. He was president of the Jaycees in Oswego, Ill.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Karen Wood; sons, Ken (Denise) Wood, and John (Shelley) Wood; sisters, Judith (Edward) Foth, and Susi Wood; grandchildren, Kyle (Jessica) Wood, Tyler (Sara) Wood, and Andrew Wood; and great-grandchildren, Mason, Annabell, Tristan, Waylon, Emma, and Ben.
