Isabelle "Betty" Wald, 83, fell asleep in death, Thursday May 29, 2008 at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, Mich. She was born April 15, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Andrew and Carmella Natale. Betty married Jack Wald on October 23, 1947 in Santa Monica, Calif. He preceded her in death in 1986. Betty and Jack moved to Kingsford, Mich. in 1975. She had been a resident of Oak Crest Assisted Living facility in Norway, Mich. for the past 2 years. She was a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Betty enjoyed talking to others about her bible based hope for the future and the promised blessings to be enjoyed under God's coming Kingdom. She also enjoyed taking care of her home and loved her dog Ginger. Betty enjoyed joining friends for lunch and had a particular fondness for Chinese cuisine. Betty is survived by six nieces and five nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by four sisters, Anna, Mary, Carmen and Cecelia; and three brothers, Daniel, Phillip and Edward Ferraro.
