Irene M. Krishen, 82, of Spring Hill, Fla., passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at the Methodist North Hospital, Memphis, Tenn. She was born May 9, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Constantine and Katherine (Pogranichkna) Zubritzky. Irene married George Krishen on October 21, 1945, in Chicago. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2005. Irene and George lived in Port Richey, Fla. for over 30 years. She was a founding member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Spring Hill, and was a very active member of the church. Irene's family was very special to her. She is survived by one son, Gregory Krishen, Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter, Karen Ragone, Spring Hill, Fla.; one sister, Eva (Frank) Gonzalez, Morton Grove, Ill.; three nephews, Dr. Mark (Dawn) Gonzalez, Chicago, Dr. Richard Gonzalez, Mobile, Ala., Daniel Gonzalez, Wisconsin; other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Trisagion Prayers will be offered 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Orthodox Church, Iron Mountain. Rev. Mark Hagan will officiate. Burial will be in Dunbar Memorial Cemetery, Dunbar, Wis.
