Crystal Falls-Ione S. Condon, age 78, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, Mich.

She was born June 3, 1939, in Stambaugh, Mich., daughter of the late Arthur and Sylvia (Wirtaanen) Heikkila. Ione was united in marriage to James Condon on July 29, 1967, in Stambaugh. She had worked for Continental Baking Company in Milwaukee as head of payroll, the Crystal Falls Community Hospital in the billing department, Citgo, and Pats IGA. Ione was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Stambaugh.

She enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting, and the time she spent with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, James; her children; daughter, Darleen Nash, Aurora, Ill., sons, Art Johnson, Green Bay, Wis., Scott (Rae VanHecke) Johnson, Oconto, Wis., William James (Lisa) Condon, Green Bay, Wis., daughter, Kelly Ann (Gary) Johnson, Iron River, Mich. and son, James Peter Condon, Iron River Mich.; 8 grandchildren; and by one sister, Darlene Williams, Green Bay, Wis.

In addition to her parents, Ione was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Maki, Daniel Heikkila and Wallace Heikkila; two sisters, Viola Nowicki and Yvonne Kralovec, and by one grandson, Jeremy.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls, Mich. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m.at the funeral home. Pastor Mike Laakko will officiate. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Crystal Falls, Mich.
