Crystal Falls: Ingrid Olga Blumensaadt, age 74, of Crystal Falls, Michigan, died Sunday, February 29, 2004, at her home. Ingrid was born November 5, 1929, in Copenhagen, Denmark, daughter of the late Charles and Karen (Neergaard) Pedersen. She attended school in Denmark. When she was 18 years old she moved to the United States and settled in Chicago, Illinois. She worked for Kraft and that is where she met Irwin Blumensaadt in 1948. In 1950, she and Irwin were married. They moved to Crystal Falls nineteen years ago. Ingrid was a great cook. Her family would come home for the holidays to enjoy her wonderful meals. She also enjoyed crocheting and gardening with her husband. She was a great Mor Mor. Besides her husband Irwin, Ingrid is survived by two sons; Irwin (Sena) Blumensaadt Jr. from Chicago, IL, and Richard (Jayne) Blumensaad of Caspian, MI, two daughters: Diane Blumensaadt (Glenn Gordon) of Chicago, IL and Darlene Cooper and fiance (Bob Williams) of Crystal Falls, MI one sister Sussi Bramm of Denmark, and six grandchildren; Bill, Brian, Amy, Josh, Phil, and Laura. Ingrid was preceded in death by her parents, a son Kai and her twin sister Brita Larsen. Visitation will be Thursday, March 4, 2004 at 10 - 11A.M. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home. The Memorial Service will be Thursday at 11:00A.M. at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate.
