Inez Hoffman, 91, of Crystal Falls, passed away Friday, May 14, 2010, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. She was born October 14, 1918, in Amasa, Mich., daughter of the late Alfredo and Lucia (Balcato) Nacoli. Inez grew up in Amasa and graduated from Amasa High School, Class of 1936. She married Bernard Hoffman 1946; he preceded her in death on June 6, 2007. Inez and Bernard resided in Chicago for 25 years before moving back to Crystal Falls in 1970. She was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls. Inez enjoyed reading, cooking, and especially spending time with her family. Survivors include her two sons, Richard (Patricia) Hoffman, Joseph Hoffman, both of Iron River; one daughter, Sheila (Gary) Smith, Shorewood, Ill.; four grandchildren, Devone, Katlyn, Alexander and Serge Smith; one sister, Angeline "Tina" Gale, Crystal Falls; one brother, Dante (Joanne) Nacoli; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Hoffman; one son, Robert Hoffman, in 1986; one sister, Edith Trepasso; four brothers, Albert, Raymond, James, and Harold Nacoli.
