FLORENCE, Wis. – Hubert E. Provost, 85, of Florence, passed away March 28, 2016, at Dickinson County Healthcare System. He was born September 10, 1930, in Hubbell, Mich. son of the late Henry and Anna (Paquette) Provost. Hubert grew up and attended school in Hubbell. He served his country in the United States Army in Korea from 1951, until his honorable discharge in 1953. Hubert married Janice (Kocha) December 12, 1959. He worked at American Motors Corp. along with several trucking companies throughout the years before he retired from ABF Freight in 1994. Hubert attended the Fence Bible Church, was a member of the Hubbell VFW and International Brotherhood of Teamsters. He enjoyed being with family, woodworking, fishing, tinkering with projects playing cribbage and making silver water. Hubert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice; two sons, Glen of Birmingham, Ala. and Kevin (Michelle) of Cedarburg, Wis.; brother-in-law, Russ (Jan) Kocha of Wausau, Wis.; sister-in-law, Barb Kocha of Ocala, Fla. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Russell (Merle) Provost and two sisters, Louise (Leo) Beaudoin and Cecelia (John) Hervonen and one brother-in-law, Mike Kocha. Services will be held Saturday April 16, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the Fence Bible Church. The Pastor Timothy Smith will officiate.
