Iron Mountain- Howard James Malm, 83, of Iron Mountain., Mich passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at his home.

He was born on December 12, 1941, in Norway, Mich., son of the late Edward and Maxine (Root) Malm.

Howard grew up in Garden City, Mich., and was a graduate of Garden City High school, class of 1960. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. On May 18, 1981, Howard married the love of his life, Marjorie Mills, in Dallas, Oregon. In 2018, he and Majorie made Iron Mountain, Mich. their home. Howard worked as a mechanic for the Ford Motor Company.

Howard enjoyed bowling, fishing, and hunting. He was known to have a very strong personality.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Malm; sons, John Malm, Jason Malm, and Jim Malm; daughters; Bonnie Gardipee, Victoria Gilsoul, and Jessica Malm; sisters, Jean (Malm) Mott, Deborah Mikolajczyk, and Adris Davis; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Buddy "Howard Jr." Levett.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Balsam Christian Church, Kingsford, Mich. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Pastor Larry Neargarth will officiate.
