Obituary

Henry Lemanski, 91, of Florence, Wis., passed away Friday, September 12, 2008, at the Golden Living Center, Florence. He was born April 4, 1917, in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Frank and Constance (Paprocki) Lemanski. He married the former Helen Koranga on September 20, 1941, in Chicago. She preceded him in death on March 30, 2008. They lived in Chicago until 1991, when they moved to Commonwealth, Wis. Henry served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. He is survived by one son, Alan (Mary) Lemanski, Oconto Falls, Wis.; one daughter, Joan (Bill Eidenberger) Nowak, Florence; six grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Melissa, Diane, Shevonne, Michelle; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother; Leonard (Barb Galvin) Lemanski, Florence; one sister-in-law, Marge Lemanski, Florence; many nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by a brother, John. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 16, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence. VFW Post NO. 3635 of Florence will conduct military honors Tuesday 10:15 a.m., at the funeral home. Prayers will be offered Tuesday 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. Fr. Ray Valerio will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Florence, Wis.
