Henry John Johnson, 83, of Iron Mountain, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Manorcare Health Services, Kingsford
He was born in Ishpeming, Mich., on April 27, 1925, son of the late Henry and Anna (Kulie) Johnson.
Henry grew up and attended school in Kingsford. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. After his honorable discharge from service, Henry went on to attend the Milwaukee Area Technical College. He worked for General Motors in Milwaukee from 1950, until he retired in 1981. In 1988, Henry moved to Iron Mountain. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all that nature had to offer.
Henry is survived by his wife Angeline (Sebrechts) Johnson, Kingsford; two sons, Gerald (Kim) Johnson, Grafton, Wis., Roger (Heidi) Johnson, Saukville, Wis.; one daughter, Margaret (John) Unz, Neillsville, Wis.; one brother, Paul (Nancy) Johnson, lower Michigan; two sisters, Marilyn (Bud) Stefanko, Pompano Beach, Fla., Donna (John) Righter, Winter Haven, Fla.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by one brother, Ronald Johnson; and one sister, Verna Carlton.
