Henry John Johnson, 83, of Iron Mountain, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Manorcare Health Services.
He was born in Ishpeming, Mich., on April 27, 1925, son of the late Henry and Anna (Kulie) Johnson.
Henry grew up and attended school in Kingsford. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. After his honorable discharge from service, Henry went on to attend the Milwaukee Area Technical College. He worked for General Motors in Milwaukee from 1950 until he retired in 1981. In 1988 Henry moved to Iron Mountain. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and all that nature had to offer.
Henry is survived by his wife Angeline, two sons, Gerald (Kim) Johnson, Grafton, Wisc.; Roger (Heidi) Johnson, Saukville, Wisc.; one daughter Margaret (John) Unz, Neillsville, Wisc.; one brother Paul (Nancy) Johnson, lower Michigan, two sisters, Marilyn (Bud) Stefanko, Pompano Beach, Fla., Donna (John) Righter, Winter Haven, Fla.; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by one brother, Ronald Johnson; and one sister, Verna Carlton.
