Obituary

IRON MOUNTAIN — Helga V. Schulze, 96, of Folsom, Calif., died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, in Folsom. She was a wonderful lady who was respected and loved by all who knew her. Helga loved the Lord with all her heart and served Him throughout her life. She loved to pray for people and spent many hours late at night sitting in her rocking chair praying over the needs of her family, friends and conditions around the world. Helga was an avid correspondent to her many family and friends. She was an astute political observer and through her studies developed keen insights on current events. She was the daughter of Amanda and John Hanson. She had two sisters, Signe Bjork and Dagny Schulze, and six brothers, Harry, Phillip, Wally, Carl, Conrad and Roy. After her school years she worked as a telephone operator in Michigan, and was later transferred to San Francisco during World War II. She was married to the late Gerhardt P. Schulze. Helga leaves a daughter, Judy (Ray) Harris of Folsom, Calif.; a son, Don (Ruby) Schulze of La Mirada, Calif.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pastor Bruce Lindscheid will officiate. Burial will in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain. Remembrances may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. The Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron Mountain is serving the family.
